Broiled Steak with Herbed Butter

Another quick-fix dinner for busy families. The steaks can marinate overnight if you wish, and the herbed butter adds another layer of flavor.


  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pound top round or sirloin steak
  • 3/4 tsp. granular onion
  • sea salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme


  1. Season the steak with granular onion, sea salt and pepper.
  2. Place steak in a reclosable bag, along with the Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Marinate for at least 20 minutes, or up to 24 hours.
  4. Set oven rack 5 inches from broiler and preheat.
  5. Mix together the butter, minced garlic, parsley and thyme.
  6. Broil steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove from oven and spread butter evenly over steak.
  8. Broil for 1 additional minute.
