Marinated Beef Tips with Potatoes

Marinated beef tips grill quickly with roasted potatoes.


  • 1 1/2 lbs. sirloin beef tips
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • sea salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound white- or yellow-flesh potatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


  1. Whisk together the minced garlic, lime juice, 1/2 cup olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Cut beef tips into 2-inch chunks and season lightly with sea salt and pepper. Toss beef tips in the marinade, then place in a resealable plastic bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or up to 24 hours. Heat grill over medium-high heat.
  2. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Slice potatoes 1/4 inch thick. Season potatoes with sea salt, pepper, and paprika. Toss the potatoes in 3 tablespoons olive oil. Spread them out in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes, until cooked through and starting to brown. Remove from the oven and sprikle with Parmesan if desired.
