Hot Crab Dip

This is one of my favorites. If you like spicier dishes, increase the amount of cayenne you add to the dish.


  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese
  • ¼ c. butter (½ stick) (no substitutions)
  • 1 16-ounce package imitation crab meat (or use the real thing)
  • 3 green onions, sliced thin
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • ½ c. bread crumbs


  1. Melt butter and cream cheese on the top of a double boiler or in the microwave.
  2. Add crab meat, onions, garlic, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Spread dip in a 9x9 baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve with crackers or cut fresh vegetables.
