Ham and Cheese Pockets

Ham and Cheese Pockets

If you don't eat pork, substitute turkey, chicken, or roast beef. Crescent rolls make this a quick-fix meal. Add a side of Broccoli Salad or Balsamic Slaw and some fruit and you have a great dinner on the table.

Ingredients

  • 2 pkgs. crescent roll dough (sheets work great for this recipe)
  • 1 pound thin-sliced ham
  • 8 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Open the crescent rolls and cut each sheet of dough into four pieces.
  3. Spread mustard on one half of each piece, then place 2 ounces of ham and 1 slice of cheese on top of that.
  4. Fold the other half over and pinch the edges to seal.
  5. Place pockets on an ungreased cookie sheet or baking stone.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the crust is nicely browned.
