The Almost Never-Ending Sugar Cookie Recipe

If you want need to feed a crowd (or just like sugar cookies!) this is the recipe you need!

1 1/2 c. Butter

2 c. Sugar

4 Eggs

1 pkg. Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix (if you have food allergies, omit this and add 1T real vanilla)

5 t. Baking Powder

4 1/4 c. Flour

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar thoroughly.  Add eggs, one at a time, until combined.  Add pudding mix and baking powder.  Gradually add flour and mix completely.  Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours.

When you are ready to make the cookies, remove dough from refrigerator and roll to 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.  Use cookie cutters to cut into desired shapes and place on cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 6-11 minutes, depending on the size of the cookie.  Cookies will be done when they no longer look wet on top and are just starting to brown along the edges.  Yield:  5 dozen cookies!
