Slow Cooker Baked Beans
 

Fix-it-and-forget-it side dishes. What's not to love? You can experiment with this dish, adding diced ham or changing up some of the spices to make it your own.

2 cups         dried navy beans
6 cups          water
½ cup          finely chopped onion
3 strips         bacon, finely chopped
½ cup          molasses
½ cup          maple syrup
¼ tsp.           cloves
¼ tsp.           ground ginger
¼ cup           tomato paste
1 tsp.           sea salt
                   
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours, slightly venting the lid for the last 30 minutes so that the liquids can concentrate.
