At our simplest, we are composed of three elements: Body, Soul and Spirit. As moms we are naturally self-sacrificing. If you think about it, the very act of carrying a child is in itself a sacrificial act.
This page and the subsequent pages are just for you. Taking the time to find some solace or a little peace may seem selfish at first. I want to encorage you, though. This is, to me, a necessary part of parenthood. Steven Covey writes about "Sharpening the Saw" in his book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Taking the time to renew our thoughts helps us to renew our focus. Renewing our focus helps us to renew our actions. Renewing our actions helps us to create the life and environment that we crave for our families.
These thoughts are by no means an exhaustive scripture study. In fact, I hope that if you have questions about what you read that you will seek additional information from a reliable source. My hope is that you will find inspiration in these thoughts.
