Cookies are a favorite desert for many. They are portable and versatile. You can dress them up or eat them plain. I got the sugar cookie recipe from my 6th grade home economics teacher. She, among others while I was growing up, encouraged me to develop my baking abilities. This was not a recipe she made in class, but one that she shared with me because she knew I liked baking. My mom makes dozens of Cherry Delites every Christmas. I know I can find a container filled with them, usually with wax paper between the layers.
I have a story for many of these recipes, but I'll save those for another day. Many of these recipes are great if you are looking for a unique gift -- packaging ideas can be found on the You're Gifted! pages of this site.
Happy baking!
