Broiled Steak with Herbed Butter

Another quick-fix dinner for busy families. The steaks can marinate overnight if you wish, and the herbed butter adds another layer of flavor.

2 Tbsp.       Worcestershire sauce
1 pound      top round or sirloin steak
3/4 tsp.       granular onion
sea salt & pepper to taste
1/4 cup       butter, softened
1 clove        garlic, minced
2 Tbsp.       chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp.          dried thyme

Season the steak with granular onion, sea salt and pepper. Place steak in a reclosable bag, along with the Worcestershire sauce. Marinate for at least 20 minutes, or up to 24 hours. Set oven rack 5 inches from broiler and preheat. Mix together the butter, minced garlic, parsley and thyme. Broil steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove from oven and spread butter evenly over steak. Broil for 1 additional minute. Serves 4.
