Breakfast Smoothie

If you are allergic to bananas (remember that people with latex allergies should avoid bananas, too) or don't care for them, frozen mango is an excellent substitute.

1 cup apple juice

2-3 frozen strawberries

1 banana or 1/4 cup frozen mango

1/3 cup frozen mixed berries

1 serving whey protein powder

2 Tbs. unfiltered apple cider vinegar

1 tsp. flaxseed oil

Combine ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.  Serve cold.

 

 

Time Saving Tips:

  • Prepare the smoothie (but don't blend) the night before and keep in the refrigerator until morning.
  • Invest in a stick blender instead of using a traditional blender.  Newer ones have a detachable blade to make clean-up very easy.  Anything that creates fewer dishes to wash is great for you!
